This report presents the key findings and recommendations brought forward during a regional workshop for Central Asia on ‘Detention Monitoring and the Protection of Human Rights while Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism and Radicalization to Terrorism (VERLT) in Prisons’. The event was organized by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) on 29-30 November 2022 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
