Project description

Successful prevention and fight against corruption is multifaceted, and besides involving a robust judiciary, comprehensive legislative framework, and efficient co-operation and co-ordination in its implementation, it also involves the citizens, for they are the ones who can seek accountability from public institutions and identify and sanction cases of corruption. In addition, the effective fight against corruption requires efficient anti-corruption bodies and it is thus necessary to equip them with appropriate technology and increase their skills in using it. The Project is complementary to other Mission’s activities on addressing challenges and gaps in the anti-corruption system, such as the development and promotion of anti-corruption legislative framework or regulation of systems for asset declarations of public officials.
